There is exciting news coming out of Nice, France.
According to this french article (thank you Google Translate), U2 is shooting a new music video at the Victorine Studios in Nice.
The article describes the location as having a “surreal deployment of security personnel with British accents,” signs saying “Cell Phones Prohibited,” and “dozens of trucks filled with music equipment and spotlights.”
The author of the article did not personally see the band; however, they state that “everyone here says they [U2] arrived around 11 A.M. on Tuesday.”
Also this week, Concept K Designs, who provides light, video and stage design to the entertainment industry, tweeted “Right now, @CONCEPTK_DESIGN is in Nice with Impact Events for the video shoot of #U2.” The tweet has since been removed, but here is a screen shot of that tweet.
Based on that tweet and the nicematin.com article, I think that U2 shooting a new music video lends credence to the idea of a fall album release.
